Meet our Woodbury Office

JENNY BEALL, MA, LPCC, THERAPIST & FOUNDER

I have a heart for those who have been wounded by relationships and difficult life situations. My passion is to walk with people through their pain and help them find hope and freedom from their past. I graduated from Bethel University with a Masters in Counseling Psychology and completed additional Marriage and Family Therapy coursework through Adler Graduate School. My style is very practical and insight-oriented and I like helping individuals and families think about situations in new ways to get un-stuck. I am a real person in the counseling office and use humor to help you feel comfortable and enjoy the process. My Therapy puppy, Pip, attends some sessions with me for those who wish to incorporate Animal Assisted Therapy.

I enjoy working with a variety of clients and have extensive experience working with divorce family issues, kids and teens, ADHD, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, people pleasing, and healthy boundary setting. I have a special interest in helping individuals who are in relationship with toxic people such as spouses or children of people with personality disorders.

I provide parent coaching and particularly ascribe to behavioral methods and the model developed in “Parenting with Love and Logic” as it teaches children to be responsible for their own behavior and empowers their parents as coaches and allies rather than adversaries. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich couple and group facilitator. I also have a special interest in healing the wounds of sexual addictions and have received training through the American Association of Christian Counselors. I love to meet the needs of the hurting and help them continue to grow into the people they were made to be.

I am licensed and able to provide services and clinical supervision for residents of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Arizona.

David Staton, MA, Counselor

I have over 17 years of experience working with people in a variety of settings, including inpatient, hospitals, and residential treatment programs. I’ve worked with clients of all ages from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures who struggle with issues across the spectrum. I am very real, authentic, and down-to-earth in counseling and believe in the importance of smiles, warmth, and humor. I am equipped to help individuals who struggle with everything from anxiety and depression issues to schizophrenia, anger issues, and even ritual abuse and other severe traumas. There is peace and calm in my presence, and I can help you grow in those qualities and find stability, even in the storms of life.

I love to help couples and families discover how to communicate better, bond in healthy ways, work through hurts and wounds, find forgiveness and healing, and overcome life’s challenges together. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich couple facilitator. I can also help individuals who are struggling in relationships with toxic people, including those with personality disorders. As a father of five children, I also understand family dynamics and would love to help parents work together to reach their goals and achieve greater harmony.

I’ve played guitar for many years and enjoy working with artists, musicians, and creative types. I love to work with helping professionals. I understand the rich and complex inner lives of those who are highly sensitive and feel things deeply and would love to help guide and support you through your current life challenges with empathy and respect.

I provide a nonjudgmental environment where real depth of insight and exploration can occur. I love to counsel people from all walks of life. I have a strong foundation of Christian faith and am a longtime student and teacher of the Bible, and I am happy to integrate faith-based interventions into the counseling process for those who desire.

“All praise to God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” –2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Jenny Johnson, MA, LPCC, Counselor

Whatever is troubling you to seek counseling does not define you. As individuals we are quick to identify ourselves by what is wrong (i.e. I am depressed or I am terrible at relationships or I am a bad parent), but we are not our symptoms. We are so much more. There are so many wonderful things about you and your story, things I look forward to discovering. Together we will talk about you! I am hopeful you will share stories from your past like how you fit in your family, what you wanted to be when you grew up, or how you were as a child. In our laid back and gentle conversations we will weave back and forth between your present and your past. With a mix of humor, continued encouragement, and care you will find different ways of solving today’s problems and discover new things about yourself.

I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. Many of the tools acquired while attaining a master’s degree from Adler Graduate School have built on my Christian foundation of love and compassion and a desire to speak life and restoration into others. I enjoy working with teens and adults. Over the last five and a half years of practice, grief/loss has become one of my specialties however I simply have a heart for discouraged individuals no matter the cause.

In our sessions scripture and prayer can be integral components should you desire. Whatever your faith background please know you will be treated with compassion, respect and covered in encouragement. My prayer is for God to use me as a bridge to get you from where you are to where you want to be. I look forward to meeting you!

Dena Hinkle, MA, Counselor

I enjoy working with individuals to discover a more compassionate understanding of themselves
and others. I graduated from Bethel University in 2011 with my Masters in Counseling Psychology and have a background in higher education and in a private K-12 school where I
helped students identify their strengths, talents and gifts. I built upon that work, by training in
developmental and relational trauma – sometimes called “little t trauma” or “complex trauma” and now enjoy combining these two lenses in the therapy room. I am also happy to integrate the enneagram into our work in exploring your strengths and ways you show up as a healthy and whole person.

I love Jesus and believe that it is relationship, not religion, that redeems our hurts, anger, unforgiveness and illusions. My faith informs the work that I do, and you can choose how and when and if this plays a part of our time together. Some areas I enjoy working in are: relationship with self and others, self-esteem, overwhelm, boundaries, anxiety, moderation, attachment, body image and weight, college counseling and planning. I specifically love working with individuals in life transitions, young adults, young professionals and new moms.

Using an integrative approach, we will work together and consider the unique experiences, relationships, lenses, beliefs and skills that have shaped you. We will look at the messages you’ve internalized and the truths you want to fully believe. We will talk about skills you can use as you move toward a place of healing and wholeness. When we make peace with ourselves, we can more meaningfully connect with those around us. When we have clarity about our past, we can be more present in the moment. It is challenging work, but it is infused with hope and even joy.

Kristina Ramzy, MA, COUNSELOR

I am an Egyptian American and earned my MA in Psychology and Counseling from St. Mary’s University. My work background encompasses diverse experiences that have helped me enhance my professional and interpersonal skills as well as my passion for missionary and humanitarian work abroad.

I am very eager to work with others who come from diverse backgrounds and need help navigating change. Coming from a middle eastern background and a divorced home, I understand how it can be challenging to acclimate to the heartbreak of relationship conflict, feeling unsure where to turn for support in the face of uncertainty and the struggle of maintaining connection with your heritage and culture. I am also able to provide services in Arabic and have a thorough understanding of Arabic and Coptic Christian culture.

I am passionate about working with missionary families and have personally experienced the challenges of jumping into serving in an unfamiliar culture then returning to life back home. Whether change as a result of moving, divorce or faith, I would be honored to come alongside you and provide support and encouragement.

Julie Revell, Counseling Intern

It is an honor for me to join in your healing journey and I don’t take lightly if you entrust me with your story. I have a passion for collaborating to break through areas where you feel stuck. It is my aim to promote a compassionate, warm environment that helps you feel safe to express yourself in a raw, authentic way. I enjoy incorporating humor and creativity into our work, and also love to include faith if you would like!

I am interested in working with those who are looking to resolve deep pain from their past, as well as those who are struggling to know how to cope in healthy ways in their present. Additionally, I have a heart for individuals who experience challenges with anxiety, depression, life transitions and relational challenges.

I am currently completing my Masters Program at Bethel University and am ecstatic to practice under the supervision of Jenny Beall throughout the year.
